Thanksgiving Outfits for Warm Weather

Living in a warm climate means you can dress a bit unconventionally for Thanksgiving.

In many areas of the United States, Thanksgiving weather is cold. However, if you are living in or visiting a warm-weather area such as Florida, Texas, Hawaii, Southern California, or other southern states, it means you are going to have a milder (warmer) holiday than you are probably used to.

I grew up just outside Philadelphia which meant leaves dropping from the trees, cold weather, and sometimes even snow or ice. However, now I live in Southern California with mild temperatures and lots of clear sunny days even in fall and winter.

So what I wear on Thanksgiving is a lot different than what I used to wear when I lived back East.

In this post, I’m going to share some of my favorite Thanksgiving outfits to wear for warm weather.

Here are some of my best tips for Thanksgiving outfits for women when it’s over 60 degrees.

  • Have fun with color! You can pull out all the stops with bright, colorful, printed pieces paired with solids.

  • It’s okay to wear black, too. Black is acceptable in any weather especially when you are celebrating later in the day or evening. Check out #4 below.

  • Break rules and wear white jeans and shorts. Both are perfect for warm weather wear. Check out #3 and #7 below.

  • Choosing comfortable and airy silhouettes will keep you feeling cool while looking chic.
